Young Hero Praised for Lifesaving Actions
City officials and Lt. Gov. Murray praised the 12-year-old for his heroic actions last weekend in averting a possibly tragedy on the highway.
Dracut youngster Patrick Canney, 12, and his family were at this afternoon for a special ceremony, praising Patrick's quick-thinking and life-saving efforts last Saturday.
Patrick, his younger sister, and father, John, were driving on I-95 South and taking the exit onto Route 128 North . Patrick quickly took control of the car and steered it to safety in the breakdown lane.
