Stabbing Case Against Peabody Man Moves to Superior Court

A 33-year-old Peabody man is facing multiple charges in a stabbing case from last summer.

The case against a 33-year-old Peabody man accused of stabbing another man last summer is now heading to superior court.

The Salem News reports Freedom Weymouth of Peabody is charged with attempted murder and multiple counts of assault and battery and was indicted on those charges Jan. 17.

The case now moves to the higher court where prosecutors can seek harsher penalties if Weymouth is found guilty.

According to the Salem News, Weymouth attacked a 31-year-old Lynn man last June, stabbing him several times, and then attacked his former girlfriend, who was involved in the incident.
