Peabody Man Pleads Guilty to Child Porn Charges

Man admits to downloading thousands of pictures and more than 100 videos depicting child pornography from the Internet onto his home computer, and then sharing those files online.

A 49-year-old Peabody man has pleaded guilty to charges against him of possession and distribution of child pornography and is now headed to jail.

The Salem News reports that Barry Bushway was sentenced in Salem Superior Court on Friday to serve six months of a 2 1/2-year jail term -- he admitted to downloading thousands of images and more than 100 videos of child pornography from the Internet onto his home computer.

Investigators also said Bushway made those photos available to other users of an online file sharing service, reports the Salem News. Some of the images showed young children being raped.
