City Encourages Residents to Take Advantage of Free Flu Clinics

The city is offering free flu vaccination clinics this month for Peabody residents ages six months and older. Health officials say the vaccine is your best protection against the flu.

Mayor Ted Bettencourt got his own flu shot at a public clinic at City Hall last week and encourages all residents to get their shots to protect against influenza for the winter.

The vaccinations are offered to residents ages six months and older for free. The next public clinic is Oct. 21 at the Torigian Center from 9 a.m. - noon. Another clinic will be held in Wiggin Auditorium at City Hall Oct. 29 from 1-3 p.m.

A second clinic was scheduled for this week, but was postponed due to construction at City Hall.
