UPDATED: Two-Alarm Fire Rips Through Peabody Apartment Building

One firefighter was taken to the hospital. There were no other injuries, according to Peabody Firefighters Twitter feed

The firefighter was reportedly taken for smoke inhalation. 

When firefighters responded to the call on Sunday morning, there was a report of possibly people trapped inside the building. Firefighters searched the building, but everyone made it out. 

In addition to Peabody Fire, crews from Lynn and Salem were sent to the scene on the second alarm.

Peabody firefighters knocked down a two-alarm fire Sunday afternoon that broke out in a Terrace Estates apartment building.

The building, located at 45 Shore Drive, appeared to have eight units. The building appeared to have suffered heavy smoke and fire damage.

It is unclear how many tenants have been displaced.

No word yet on how many people are displaced or if there are any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
