Two Women Pilfer Prescription Drugs While at Open House
Woman reports two visitors at open house stole prescription drugs from a drawer.
Two Peabody women were arrested Sunday afternoon on charges they stole prescription drugs out of a drawer while checking out an open house on Ralph Road.
Peabody police received a call at 3:49 p.m. on Sunday from a woman who reported her Realtor was hosting an open house and had witnessed two visitors steal the drugs from a drawer.
Officers identified the registered owner of the suspects' car and checked her apartment on Warren Street, but found no one home. She and another woman were arrested at 5:11 p.m., however, after officers pulled the car over at the corner of Lynn Street and Tuckers Court.

Lisa B. Bergin, 33, of 50 Warren St. #618, Peabody, was charged on a warrant from Salem District Court, larceny under $250 and possession of a Class B drug, and Christine M. Davis, 35, of 15 Martinack Ave., Peabody, was charged on three warrants from Quincy and Lynn district courts, larceny under $250 and possession of a Class B drug.
Davis' warrant charges were for breaking and entering and theft, while Bergin was wanted on a shoplifting charge.
