Two Teenage Girls Arrested for Assault and Battery

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from July 7-8.

Sunday, July 7

  • 2:42 p.m. Macy's at the North Shore Mall reported a shoplifter. Police arrested Girson Aguiar, 27, of 19 Shamrock St. Aguiar was charged with shoplifting by concealing over $100. 
  • 4:59 p.m. a grill fire was reported on Antonio Drive. The fire department was dispatched to the call. 
  • 5:45 p.m. a caller reported stolen license plates on Home Street.
  • 6:52 p.m. a caller reported that two people were in the Charles Motel parking lot, on Mill Street, shooting up heroin. He saw them heating it up in spoons and then injecting it. They were gone on the arrival of an officer. 
  • 7 p.m. police were called to a domestic dispute on Fairview Avenue. Police arrested Nichole McCarthy, 19, of 8 Fairview Ave. McCarthy was charged with domestic assault and battery. 
  • 7:28 p.m. police arrested Alyssa Thomas, 19, of 1 Tanners Court. Thomas was charged with domestic assault and battery. 
  • 7:50 p.m. a three-car rollover was reported on Route 1 near the Golden Banana. 
  • 7:59 p.m. police were called to Stop and Shop for a shoplifter. Police arrested Jessica E. Valente, 31, of 25 Folger Ave., Beverly. Valente was charged with shoplifting by concealing over $100 and other outstanding warrants for shoplifting. 
  • 9 p.m. a motor vehicle was broken into on Chestnut Street. 
  • 9:57 p.m. a caller reported that his ex-wife wrote out 12 checks using his bank account. 

Monday, July 8

  • 5:35 a.m. a caller reported that his laptop was stolen from his car while he was in the 7-11 on Lowell Street. 
  • 10:23 a.m. a past hit and run was reported on Washington Street. 
  • 11:54 a.m. police arrested Pythogoras Pantapas, 75, of 22 County St., on Andover Street. Pantapas was charged with violation of an abuse prevention order, unlawful possession of ammunition and failure to stop or yield.
