Thieves Snag Credit Cards in Wellesley, Go Shopping in Peabody

Two females allegedly stole a woman's credit cards at the Wellesley Country Club and then went shopping with the cards at the Northshore Mall.

This story was originally reported by Wellesley Patch Editor Grahame Turner.

The Wellesley Police Department is looking for two women who allegedly stole credit cards from a woman at the Wellesley Country Club and then trekked up to Peabody and used the cards at the Northshore Mall.

The department has turned to Facebook to ask its followers for help identifying the suspects.

According to a post on MassMostWanted, a woman left her purse in her car at the country club for a few hours. When she returned, she found her credit cards were missing.

The cards were then used at Macy's and Nordstrom in Peabody, as well as at a Gulf station a few miles from Wellesley.

The two photographs above are included on the MassMostWanted report. Anyone with information should contact Wellesley Officer James Lindelof at 781-235-1212.
