Syringes Found and Wheelchair Stolen

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department.

Monday, May 6

At 3:59 p.m., a caller reported finding several syringes near a fire hydrant on Gardner Street.

At 3:45 p.m., there was a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 28 and Lowell Street. There were no injuries reported.

At 4:51 p.m., there was another two-car motor vehicle accident, on Centennial Drive. No injuries were reported.

At 7:38 p.m., a caller on Raddin Road reported that two females were causing a scene in a parking lot there. The females left before police arrived.

Tuesday, May 7

At 9:12 a.m., a caller on Clearwater Road complained that people that walk their dogs on her street on retractable leashes and the dogs come onto her and her neighbor's yards. Police explained to her that they could not enforce "no tresspassing" signs unless the dog is unrestrained and running loose. The resident also complained that some people allow their dogs to defecate without cleaning up afterwards.

At 7:53 a.m., a caller on Tremont Street reported that he found a needle on the ground there. Police disposed of the needle.

At 10:30 a.m., there was a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Andover Street in front of Nordstrom's.

At 10:47 a.m., a caller reported that his vehicle was stolen at the South Peabody Mini Mart. The caller later located the vehicle at the end of Spring Pond Road, and nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

At 1:31 p.m., a caller on Wilson Terrace reported that a wheelchair was stolen from a storage area there.
