Shoplifting Suspect Arrested, Two Accomplices Flee With Child in Car

A Dorchester woman and her accomplices allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from J.C. Penney.

Peabody Police arrested a Dorchester woman after she reportedly tried to steal $1,000 worth of merchandise from J.C. Penney.

Police responded to J.C. Penney on Tuesday afternoon after a report of three women attempting to steal $1,000 worth of merchandise. They have stolen more than $5,000 worth of merchandise from the store recently, J.C. Penney loss prevention personnel told Peabody Police.

Police responded to Northshore Mall, and arrested Jadea Duntin, 26, 79 Rosseter St., Dorchester, and charged her with larceny more than $250, possessing burglarious instruments and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Duntin was also given a no trespassing order from Northshore Mall for five years. 

Two other suspects sped away with a child in a car toward Cheesecake Factory, according to police.
