Robbery Reported at Foster Street Market

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from July 5-6.

Friday, July 5

  • 5:21 p.m. a walk-in visitor to the police station turned over a black wallet she found on Allens Lane. The wallet still had his ID cash and credit cards inside. Salem Police were notified. 
  • 8:35 p.m. a caller reported that someone stole his Klonopin on Whitney Drive. 
  • Police received multiple fireworks complaints in areas throughout town including Eastman Park, Washington Street, Batholomew Terrace, Tonicka Court, Lynnfield Street and Lake Street. 
  • A Curwen Road resident reported being egged shortly after going to bed at 10:14 p.m. After an officer responded to the incident. The same kids, driving an older model dark Ford Crown Victoria, came back a half hour later and egged the man's house again. 

Saturday, July 6

  • 12:23 a.m. police report prostitution on Jubilee Drive. A night clerk at the Extended Stay Suites on Jubilee Drive reported a dark BMW that was driving around the parking lot for 40 minutes. An officer caught up with the vehicle, which was occupied by a man, his girlfriend as well as another man. The police report said that the girlfriend was prostituting herself to the other man. No arrests were made. 
  • 11:53 a.m. a landscaping company reported that a leaf blower was stolen from their truck on Essex Center Drive. 
  • 3:30 p.m. a shoplifter was detained at J.C. Penney and was dealt with internally. 
  • At 5:01 p.m. a caller reported a male that robbed Olivia's Market on Foster Street. An officer reported that the man robbed the store with no weapons shown but did point to his pants. He left toward the area of Lowe Street. 
  • 8:10 p.m. a caller reported a bicycle that was stolen on Blair Terrace. 
  • 9:22 p.m. a caller reported that a man is threatening her because he thinks the caller stole his cat. The caller recently put up flyers to find her lost dog and she thinks that someone may have contacted her through that as a prank. 
  • 10:45 p.m. a caller reports that "about 5 people want to fight her" on Central Street. An officer cleared the scene and reports that the issue was regarding a shared driveway. 
  • 11:01 p.m. police arrested Charles H. Reardon, 52, of 3 South Terrace, Beverly, on Sparrow Lane. Reardon was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, failure to stop or yield, license not in possession and failure to obey traffic control signals.
