Police Release Surveillance Photos of Female Bank Robber

The woman seen in these surveillance photos allegedly robbed the Eastern Bank on Lynn Street Friday afternoon.

About an hour after the Eastern Bank on Lynn Street was robbed Friday afternoon, Peabody police were circulating surveillance photos of the suspect.

A press release said Peabody patrol officers arrived at the bank, located at 102 Lynn St., at 3:22 p.m. to investigate a reported robbery.

Police said a woman had entered the bank, approached the tellers' counter, produced a note and demanded money. Police said the clerk complied.

According to the timestamp on the surveillance photos, the actual robbery occurred at approximately 3:13 p.m. Scanner reports also indicated the woman's note stated she had a weapon, although no weapon was ever shown.

Police said the woman fled the area with an undetermined amount of money. They say she arrived at the bank and fled in what may be an older model gold Chevrolet Impala or Malibu. The car was seen heading onto County Street.

The robbery is now being investigated by Peabody police and the FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force.
