Police Log: Two Dog Bites Reported

Thursday, July 10

At 3:04 p.m., police summonsed a 20-year-old Peabody resident and charged him with possessing a Class B drug. Police summonsed the man after checking on a vehicle behind a business on Lynnfield Street.

At 3:17 p.m., a 58-year-old woman was bitten by a service dog in Shaw’s Supermarket. Peabody Police gave the owner’s information to Danvers, which is where the dog lives. The woman was taken to Lahey.

At 4:58 p.m., a person reported that he was assaulted in the bathroom of the Cabaret Lounge. He said the suspect showed a gun and flattened one of his tires. Police took a report.

At 6:58 p.m., police responded to Lynnfield Street and Antonio Drive after a car struck a tree. The vehicle was towed. There were no injuries.

At 7:39 p.m., police responded to Crowninshield Street after a report of skateboarders using railings. An officer spoke to the youths, who were riding scooters in the handicap lanes. Police asked them to go to the skate park.

At 8:15 p.m., police arrested Ian M. Kierstead, 28, 2 Lincoln Place, Peabody, and charged him on a warrant for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

At 9:10 p.m., a George Road resident reported her wedding ring was stolen. The ring is valued at $380. Police took a report.


Friday, July 11

At 10:33 a.m., police received a call after a dog bite on Wahtera Road. A child was taken to North Shore Children’s Hospital with a parent.

At 11:29 a.m., an officer found several hypodermic needles on Lynn Street. Police disposed of the needles.
