Police Log: Three-Time Drunk Driver Arrested

Tuesday, June 3

At 4:49 p.m., police arrested Antonio Renato Mendez, 22, 142 Timson St., Lynn, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police also summonsed a 27-year-old Lynn man to court and charged him with having an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Police made the arrest on Lynn Street.

At 5:04 p.m., police arrested Shawn D. Bartholomew, 31, 7121 Crane Brook Way, Peabody, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

At 5:40 p.m., a Peabody resident reported a family member wrote three fraudulent checks totaling $475. Police took a report.

At 6:08 p.m., police arrested Roger Vieira, 45, 35 Matthies St., Beverly, and charged him on two warrants for two counts of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and a number plate violation. Police made the arrest after a disturbance call on Pulaski Street.

At 8:14 p.m., police arrested Jerry Scoppettuolo, 44, 463 Lowell St., Lynnfield, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and not having an inspection sticker. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Newbury Street.

At 9:39 p.m., police summonsed a 22-year-old Peabody woman and charged her with malicious destruction of property less than $250. Police made the arrest after a report of a woman trying to break into mailboxes with a butter knife on Main Street.

 

Wednesday, June 4

At 7:29 a.m., police arrested Edmund H. Monahan, 50, 1084 Washington St., Gloucester, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (third offense), operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, speeding, a marked lanes violation, failing to stop for police and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Police made the arrest on Lowell Street.

At 11:04 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Aborn and Washington streets. One person was injured and taken to Salem Hospital.

At noon, police arrested Dwayne E. Festa, 45, 94 Richardson Road, Lynn, and charged him on a warrant for receiving stolen property more than $250. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Crowninshield Street.
