Police Log: Six Juveniles Injured in Car Accident

Friday, June 6

At 2:35 p.m., police received a call about a past break-in on Reynolds Road. Police took a report.

At 3:42 p.m., a Lowell Street resident reported that his wallet was stolen from his house overnight and three credit cards were used in Malden. There were no signs of forced entry.

At 8:39 p.m., police responded to Washington and Ayer streets about a two-car accident. There were no reported injuries. One car was towed. A 26-year-old Peabody man was summonsed to court and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

At 9:40 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident at Summit Street and Christina Road. Six juveniles were taken to area hospitals. Eleven other people were not injured. Two vehicles were towed. A full accident report with additional information has not been filed yet. 


Saturday, June 7

At 3:06 a.m., Lynn Police notified Peabody Police about a stabbing victim at Union Hospital who was reportedly stabbed behind a Lynn Street building. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries to the chest and arm. Police took a report.

At 7:19 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Tracey and Walnut streets. There were no reported injuries. One car was towed.

At 10:55 a.m., police arrested Matthew D. Roby, 31, 14 Sheehan Terrace, Rockport, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and wanton destruction of property more than $250. Police also summonsed a 45-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime and malicious destruction of property more than $250. Police made the arrest after a report of an assault and battery on Birney Street. Police made the arrest on Foster Street.

At 6:27 p.m., a Macy’s employee reported a shoplifter tried to steal a Northface jacket. The store handled the matter.

At 10:50 p.m., a Nancy Avenue resident reported that a man in khaki shorts was in his bushes. The resident shined a light on the man, which caused him to flee onto the bike patch. Police searched the area, but the man had already left.


Sunday, June 8

At 2:53 a.m., police responded to Lowell Street about a man trying to steal a car. Police found the man was intoxicated and was trying to get into the wrong vehicle. An officer called a taxi, which brought the man home.

At 5:06 a.m., police arrested Andrew Monaco, 20, 60 Ellsworth Road, Peabody, Joseph Passanisi, 21, 2 Nancy Ave., Peabody, Georigios P. Nash, 20, 180 Lowell St., Peabody, and Robert Licciardi, 20, 191 Winona St., Peabody, and charged them with disorderly conduct. Police arrested the four men after a report of a fight on Donna Street.

At 11:19 a.m., police received a call from Walnut Street about a driver yelling profanities at other vehicles. Police were unable to locate the driver.

At 11:39 a.m., police summonsed a 51-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with failing to display an owner’s name and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police summonsed the man during a traffic stop on Driscoll Street.
