Police Log: Salem Man Charged With Drunk Driving for Third Time
Sunday, April 6
At 3:04 p.m., police responded to Lynn Street where a man was reportedly soliciting for sex. The man left before police arrived.
At 5:24 p.m., police summonsed a 39-year-old Lynn man to court and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle without a registration. Police summonsed the man during a traffic stop on Lynn Street.
At 5:45 p.m., police received a call about a man asking for money outside a Main Street business. The man left before police arrived.

At 8:33 p.m., police responded to Puritan Lawn Cemetery after someone was locked inside the cemetery. The person was released.

Monday, April 7
At 7:13 a.m., a Myles Road resident reported that someone stole $800 and a diamond ring from a residence. There were no signs of forced entry.
At 8:10 a.m., police informed the Department of Public Services about a large pothole at Lynn Street and Bay State Road.
At 8:57 a.m., a Victoria’s Secret employee reported a shoplifting. The store said it would handle the matter.
At 9:08 a.m., police responded to Pierpont Park after a person found needles in the park. Police disposed of the needles.
At 9:45 a.m., police summonsed a 28-year-old Lynn man and charged her with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Police summonsed the driver after a parking complaint on Whitney Drive.
At 10:03 a.m., police arrested Mark J. Castonguay, 40, 79 Bridge St., Apt. 1L, Salem, and charged him on a warrant for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (third offense), failing to stop/yield, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and possessing a Class B substance.
