Police Log: Repeat Shoplifter Charged

At 3:04 p.m., an Elm Street resident reported someone struck a car’s windshield with a cinderblock.
At 3:19 p.m., police responded to Sprint after a customer, who was upset that his phone was turned off, videoed employees. He left before police arrived.
At 4:21 p.m., police responded to the Welch School where a youth zip tied himself to a baseball field fence. Police and Fire removed the child from the fence.

At 7:38 p.m., police summonsed a 47-year-old Cambridge woman to court and charged her with operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police summonsed the woman after a car accident on Margin Street. One vehicle was towed. There were no injuries.

Monday, May 12
At 5:10 a.m., police responded to Lowell Street after a motorist struck a parked car. One vehicle was towed. There were no injuries.
At 11:41 a.m., police arrested Griffin M. Ward, 30, 349 Salem St., Revere, and charged him on three counts of shoplifting by concealing merchandise (third offense). Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at J.C. Penney. He was also given a no trespass order from the Northshore Mall.
At 12:10 p.m., police summonsed a 50-year-old Peabody woman and charged her with violating a harassment order.
At 1:27 p.m., police documented a broken window at the Burke School.
