Police Log: Police Make Two Arrests

Tuesday, April 15

At 2:51 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Washington and Main streets. There were no injuries. Police summonsed one driver to court for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

At 4:17 p.m., a J.C. Penney employee reported that two women returned $250 worth of stolen goods and then left the store. The store called back an hour later when an employee spotted the suspects in the mall. Police were unable to locate them, but police and J.C. Penney security chased after a man who were with the suspects. He fled the area.

At 4:46 p.m., police responded to Lowell Street after a driver struck a pole on Lowell Street. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.

At 4:56 p.m., police summonsed a 38-year-old Peabody resident to court and charged the person with operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police summonsed the driver after a two-car accident on Tremont Street.

At 6:17 p.m., police responded to Lowell and Newbury streets after a two-car accident. There were no injuries. One car was towed.

At 8:17 p.m., police summonsed a 27-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with violating an abuse prevention order.

At 10:23 p.m., police responded to Margin Street about a possible break-in. The burglar alarm was activated and the front door was smashed. There was no one in the store. Police are investigating.

At 11:47 p.m., police arrested Christopher J. Regan, 28, 23 Warren St., Apt. 2, Peabody, and charged him with assault and battery.

 

Wednesday, April 16

At 9:08 a.m., police arrested Danielle M. Yocum, 31, 154 Winona St., Peabody, and charged her on a warrant for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a marked lanes violation. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Winona Street.

At 1:13 p.m., police recovered a stolen car on Fulton Street. The vehicle was stolen from Salem.

At 1:37 p.m., police cited a driver on Lowell Street for texting while driving and not wearing a seatbelt.

At 1:51 p.m., police separated two women who were fighting on Main Street.

At 1:59 p.m., police responded to Winona Street and Hamerick Road after a driver struck a pole. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.
