Police Log: Peabody Police Make Three Arrests

Monday, May 12

At 2:50 p.m., police arrested Richard T. Lane, 32, 125 Maplewood Ave., Apt. 2, Gloucester, and charged him with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at Shaw’s.

At 2:58 p.m., police arrested Freddy E. Mendoza, 42, 38 Cabot St., Salem, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failing to signal and a warrant for operating a motor vehicle with a defaced VIN and receiving a stolen motor vehicle. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Lowe Street.

At 9:38 p.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Farm Avenue. The driver was taken to Mass General Hospital and the car was towed.

At 11:35 p.m., police placed a 55-year-old Peabody man into protective custody after a report of an intoxicated man yelling in a house.

Tuesday, May 13

At 10:11 a.m., police arrested Roger R. Wyatt, 48, 203 Washington St., Apt. 127, Salem, and charged him with disorderly conduct after police responded to Shore Drive about a man yelling and punching signs.

At 12:25 p.m., a person reported that his car was stolen from the Northshore Mall. Police arrived and found that the vehicle was not stolen and was parked in the lot.
