Police Log: Peabody Man Charged With Stealing Cell Phone
Monday, May 5
At 4:23 p.m., police received a call about a man soliciting in the Batchelder Avenue and Kittredge Street area. The man was described as wearing camo shorts and a baseball hat. Police spoke to the man and found he had indeed checked in at the police station before soliciting.
At 6:14 p.m., police arrested Christian Urena, 21, 33 Moulton St., Apt. 3, Lynn, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Lynn Street.
At 7:09 p.m., police responded to Central Street concerning a stolen iPhone valued at $600. Police took a report.

At 7:40 p.m., a Peabody resident reported that someone created an Instagram account and has been posting photos of the person on it. Police took a report.
At 9:57 p.m., a Peabody resident reported that someone was sending harassing texts. Police took a report.

At 11:13 p.m., a person reported that her mother had not been seen since 3 p.m. Monday. Police sent out a “be on the lookout” to all units in the surrounding cities and towns. The person filed a missing person report.
Tuesday, May 6
At 7:09 a.m., an officer gave a warning to a driver who was texting while driving on Lynnfield Street.
At 10:16 a.m., police arrested Edwin R. Pena, 40, 5 Harris St., Peabody, and charged him with larceny more than $250. Police made the arrest after a Walgreens employee reported that a person who stole a cell phone from the store previously was back in the store.
At 1:22 p.m., police arrested Thaise Xenia Sousa, 29, 37 Harris St., Apt. 2, Peabody, and charged the person on a warrant for possessing a Class B drug.
