Police Log: Peabody Man Charged With Drunk Driving

At 4:25 p.m., a Peabody resident reported identity theft. Police took a report.

At 5:01 p.m., police responded to Crane Avenue about hypodermic needles at intersections. Police destroyed the needles.

Tuesday, April 1

At 6:33 a.m., police received a call after a person spotted a white and black dog on Walnut Street. The description matches a lost dog. Police checked the area, but did not find the dog.

At 9:13 a.m., a Walnut Street business owner reported someone dumped two TVs on his property.

At 9:47 a.m., an officer reported ticketing eight vehicles for handicapped parking violations at the Northshore Mall.

At 9:48 a.m., police arrested John Henry, 37, 23 Temple St., Apt. 13, Nashua, NH, and charged him on four warrants for two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of threatening to commit a crime and one count each for resisting arrest, trespassing and criminal harassment. Police made the arrest on Main Street.

At 10:25 a.m., police arrested Joseph Ferrante, 60, 30 Bresnahan St., Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Police made the arrest on Foster Street.

At 12:24 p.m., a Peabody resident reported someone stole his identification and used it to file a tax return. Police took a report.

At 1:01 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Lowell Street and Priscilla Lane. One person was taken to Beverly Hospital. Both vehicles were towed.
