Police Log: Peabody Man Charged With Drunk Driving After Hitting House

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 7

At 2:31 p.m., a caller reported he found a stray dog without tags on Andover Street. Police found the dog was chipped and contacted the owner on file. The Lynn man said he sold the dog to a Peabody man. Police contacted the Peabody man, who confirmed he owns the dog. The owner’s nephew picked up the dog.

At 3:03 p.m., a Peabody resident reported receiving a scam letter.

At 4:49 p.m., police summonsed a 32-year-old Peabody woman to court and charged her with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Police responded to a Lowell Street business about an unwanted person. Police summonsed the woman while at the scene.

At 4:49 p.m., police summonsed a 23-year-old woman to court and charged her with larceny more than $250 after a report of a larceny of more than $2,000 from a Northshore Mall business.

At 5:03 p.m., police summonsed an 18-year-old Lynn woman and 19-year-old Lynn woman to court and charged them with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. The two were reportedly caught shoplifting at the Northshore Mall.

At 6:17 p.m., police notified the Department of Public Works that cars were getting stuck in snow on Sherman Street.

At 7:03 p.m., police arrested Marci Sue Tenovsky, 50, 25 Curtis Road, Revere, and charged her with shoplifting by concealing merchandise and receiving stolen property less than $250. The Revere woman was reportedly caught shoplifting at Sears.

At 8:06 p.m., police received a call from a Central Street business after a purse was reportedly stolen. The Vera Wang purse contained personal papers, ID, bank and credit cards and $100 cash.

At 8:42 p.m., police responded to Main Street about three youths dressed in black and wearing white masks who were “skulking in the parking lot.” When police arrived, the youths hopped a fence and headed toward Little’s Lane. Police were unable to locate the youths.

At 11 p.m., police arrested James T. Kallelis III, 50, 295 Newbury St., Apt. 142, Peabody, and charged him with domestic assault and battery and resisting arrest.

 

Saturday, Feb. 8

At 10:04 a.m., police arrested Ubirajara Fonseca, 38, 31 Tremont St., Peabody, and charged the person with operating a motor vehicle without a license, failing to display the owner’s name, refusing to identify oneself, using a false name/social security number and a warrant. Police made the arrest during a motor vehicle stop on Andover Street.

At 1:20 p.m., police summonsed a 35-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license and failing to display owner’s name. Police summonsed the man during a motor vehicle stop on Hancock Street.

At 1:53 p.m., police arrested Jill E. DiBartolomeo, 51, 399 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, and charged her with trespassing and Shawn David DiBartolomeo, 25, 399 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, and charged him with shoplifting by concealing merchandise (third offense) and disorderly conduct. Police made the arrests at Macy’s.

At 4 p.m., Shaws Supermarket notified police about a shoplifter. Shaws handled the matter.

At 4:46 p.m., police arrested Serafina Moreira, 45, 193 Chestnut St., Lynn, and charged her with larceny more than $250. She reportedly tried to steal more than $300 worth of merchandise from Macy’s.

At 8:02 p.m., a Franklin Street resident reported a broken front door window. An officer responded and believed the damage may have been caused by an over zealous delivery person who knocked too hard.

At 11:15 p.m., police responded to a car accident on Pulaski Street. A Danvers driver crashed into a pole. There was little if any damage to the pole. The driver was taken to Salem Hospital. Police summonsed the 21-year-old Danvers woman to court for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, disorderly conduct and a marked lanes violation.

 

Sunday, Feb. 9

At 12:38 a.m., police arrested Robert D. King, 51, 8 Jeffrey St., Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense). Police responded to Coleman Street after a driver hit a house. There was no structural damage to the home. Police arrested King and the car was towed.

At 2:08 a.m., police arrested John O’Brien, 26, 50 Warren St., Apt. 110, Peabody, and Edwin A. Ramos, 29, 19 Reservoir Road, Apt. 2, Lynn, and charged them with disturbing the peace. Police responded to Warren Street about a possible fight in an apartment. Police arrested the two men.
