Police Log: Peabody Man Charged With Burglary

Friday, June 27

At 3:06 p.m., police received a call after a rocking chair was stolen from the back of a pickup truck on Holden Street. The chair was valued at $275. Police took a report.

At 5 p.m., police arrested Ly Oeun, 45, 370 Western Ave., Apt. 1, Lynn, and charged the person with operating a motor vehicle without a license and a motor vehicle lights violation. Police also summonsed a 77-year-old Marblehead woman to court and charged her with allowing an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle, having a revoked registration and having an uninsured motor vehicle. Police made the arrest after a traffic stop at Roosevelt Avenue and Lowell Street.

At 5:01 p.m., police received a call about a four-car accident at Lynn Street and Veterans Memorial Drive. Two cars were towed. No one was reportedly taken to the hospital.

At 7:22 p.m., police responded to a fight involving 10 males on Main Street. The person who reportedly started the fight fled the area. One person said he would go to the hospital for treatment. One business’ window was broken during the fight.

At 9:25 p.m., police arrested Richard A. Harris, 28, 16 Clifton St., Saugus, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. Police made the arrest after a report of a vehicle blocking the roadway on Foster Street.

Saturday, June 28

At 12:38 a.m., police arrested a 17-year-old and charged her with domestic assault and battery.

At 1:31 a.m., police responded to Tremont Street after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was taken to Salem Hospital.

At 3:44 a.m., police notified the Department of Public Services about a water main break on Barrett Road.

At 8:12 a.m., police received a call from a Newbury Street business after someone smashed a car’s windows and slashed four tires.

At 8:51 a.m., police received a report that someone stole various items from an Oak Grove Cemetery grave. Angels that were on the grave were stolen. Police took a report.

At 10:17 a.m., police received a call about a person sleeping in a driveway on Central Street. Police spoke to the person and asked him to find another place to nap.

At 3:49 p.m., police summonsed a 45-year-old Peabody resident and charged her with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

At 9:30 p.m., a person on Farm Avenue reported that someone in a tan Silverado shot a BB gun at him. Police took a report.

At 9:40 p.m., a Macy’s employee reported a shoplifting. The store handled the matter.

 

Sunday, June 29

At 8:08 a.m., police received a call from Elm Street about a past break-in, in which tools and a laptop were stolen. Police took a report.

At 10:51 a.m., police arrested Nicholas C. Moutsoulas, 36, 128 Washington St., Peabody, and charged him with breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony. Police made the arrest after a report of a break-in on Bresnahan Street.
