Police Log: One Person Taken to Hospital After Accident

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

At 2:11 p.m., a Walden Hill Drive resident reported his tow truck was stolen.

At 2:39 p.m., a Pulaski Street resident reported strange spots in the snow on his front lawn. The resident thinks a plane flying overhead may have emptied a toilet.

At 3:41 p.m., police received a call about a two-car accident on Lowell Street. There were no injuries. One vehicle was towed.

At 3:46 p.m., a Lynn Street resident reported a past attempted burglary. Someone broke a small pane of glass, but no entry was gained.

At 4:14 p.m., police received a call from Extended Stay America about a guest not paying his hotel bill. He has been a guest since November. The employee asked that police help escort the man off the property. Police spoke to the man, who said he would leave.

At 4:16 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run accident at Pulaski and Gardner streets. A motorist rear-ended another vehicle and then fled the scene.

At 4:51 p.m., police notified the Department of Public Services that rain was freezing and making the roads dangerous.

At 5:42 p.m., a Munroe Court resident reported the road was getting icy.

At 8:05 p.m., police responded to Andover Street about an intoxicated man walking in the street. Police transported him to a residence for the night.

At 10:30 p.m., police responded to Winona Street and Moulton Road about a two-car accident. One person was taken to Salem Hospital. Both vehicles were towed.

 

Thursday, Feb. 20

At 12:05 a.m., police arrested William F. Kennedy, Jr., 53, 5 Walden Hill Drive, Peabody, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

At 5:21 a.m., police notified the Department of Public Services about potholes on Lynnfield Street.

At 11:48 a.m., police summonsed a 40-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
