Police Log: Officers Arrest Man Who Struck Home With Car, Tried to Flee on Stolen Bike

Friday, May 23

At 2:31 p.m., police arrested Nicole Dejoy, 33, 39 Shore Dr., Apt. F, Peabody, and charged her on a warrant for two counts of larceny under $250, two counts of larceny more than $250 from a person 60-plus/disabled, two counts of credit card fraud more than $250 and two counts of credit card fraud less than $250.

At 3:54 pm., police summonsed a 37-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with threatening to commit a crime and intimidating a witness.

At 6:26 p.m., a J.C. Penney employee reported an attempted shoplifting. The suspect left the store.

At 7:29 p.m., a Foster Street business owner reported homeless people drinking in his business. Police arrived and the people left.

At 9:34 p.m., police arrested Daniel P. Connors, 30, 24 Savin Hill Ave., Apt. 3, Dorchester, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Howley Street.

At 9:52 p.m., police responded to Walgreens about two people with suitcases asking for money. The people left before police arrived.

 

Saturday, May 24

At 12:06 a.m., a Berkshire Road resident reported that a vehicle was egged twice in two hours. Police will make extra patrols in the area.

At 12:37 a.m., police arrested Joseph Anderson, 20, 205 Ferry St., Apt. 406, Everett, and charged him with breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating a motor vehicle without a license and a warrant for aggravated assault, assault and battery, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime, malicious destruction of property more than $250, intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official and assault with a dangerous weapon. Police made the arrest after Anderson struck a Central Street house with his car. Anderson fled the scene after reportedly stealing a bicycle from a Colllins Street home. Police returned the bike to the owner after Anderson was arrested on Holten Street.

At 2:19 a.m., police arrested Sean Singleton Irish, 36, 29 East Lilly Court, Murrells, and charged him on two warrants for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Police made the arrest at the Marriott Hotel after the report of unwanted guests in the lobby.

At 12:42 p.m., police arrested a 12-year-old and charged the juvenile with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police made the arrest after a child was hit in the head with a rock. The injured child was taken to NSMC-Children’s Hospital.

At 1:09 p.m., police arrested Jason E. Brown, 31, 99 Broadway, Apt. 3, Salem, and Erica Daley, 29, 99 Broadway, Apt. 3, Salem, and charged them with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Police made the arrests after a report of shoplifters at Sears.

At 6:07 p.m., police responded to Lindauer Street and Forenza Road after a youth was struck by a motor vehicle. There were no obvious injuries to the youth, but the child was taken to Salem Hospital as a precaution.

At 6:29 p.m., a Peabody resident reported that someone threw a rock through her vehicle’s window when she was on Forest Street.

At 10:15 p.m., police returned to a Harrison Avenue home for the third time that night about fireworks. Police plan to summons the resident for disturbing the peace.

 

Sunday, May 25

At 12:07 p.m., police arrested Jesse Royce O’Neil, 28, 115 Lowell St., Apt. 17, Peabody, and charged him with assault and battery, malicious destruction of property more than $250 and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor. Police made the arrest after a domestic dispute.
