Police Log: Employee Charged With Stealing From Store
Monday, April 14
At 2:14 p.m., a Lynnfield Street resident reported a past theft of medication.
At 2:23 p.m., a Macy’s employee reported a shoplifter. The store handled the mater.
At 2:34 p.m., police arrested Vanessa M. Grande, 22, 6 Radcliff Road, Beverly, and charged her with larceny more than $250. Grande was an employee at Abercrombie Kids. The Northshore Mall gave Grande a no trespass order for two years.

At 9:32 p.m., police arrested Gerald P. Sasso, 49, 22 Intervale Ave., Peabody, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

Tuesday, April 15
At 2:49 a.m., police responded to Centennial Drive about heavy machinery in the area. Police spoke to a landscaping company that was working in the lot and asked them to stop for the night.
At 10:50 a.m., police responded to Cross Street after a driver struck a Dumpster in a parking lot. The vehicle was towed. There were no injuries. A Cross Street business called a half-hour later to report that the driver, who was a 91-year-old Lynn woman, was confused. The woman refused medical treatment again.
At 12:41 p.m., police reported issuing five handicapped parking space violation citations on Avalon Drive.
