Police Log: Alleged Drunk Driver Hits Pole, Knocks Down Wires

Wednesday, June 25

At 2:25 p.m., police received a call about a person going through a mailbox on Berry Street. Police spoke to the man, who lives at the residence and was checking his mail.

At 6:34 p.m., police arrested Geraldo Marquez, 47, 17 Littles Lane, second floor, Peabody, and charged him on a warrant for intimidating a witness.

At 7:22 p.m., police summonsed a 21-year-old Peabody resident to court and charged him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police summonsed the man after a report of an intoxicated person stumbling down Gardner Street. He was taken to Salem Hospital for treatment.

At 10:41 p.m., police summonsed a 41-year-old Peabody woman to court and charged her with domestic assault and battery.

At 11:30 p.m., police received a call about a man in his 20s with orange hair standing in the roadway on Margin Street. Police checked the area, but did not find him.

Thursday, June 26

At 4:34 a.m., police summonsed a 33-year-old Peabody woman to court and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Police summonsed the woman after she reportedly struck a pole and knocked down wires on Margin Street. She was transported to Salem Hospital.

At 9:37 a.m., police spotted a sinkhole on Lowell Street that was one foot wide and two feet deep. Police notified the Department of Public Services.

At 10:01 a.m., police arrested Katelyn L. Salvato, 26, 749 Lowell St., Peabody, and charged her on a warrant for carrying a dangerous weapon. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Newbury Street.
