This is not the first time Castano was involved in a domestic dispute.

He's been charged at least two times for domestic violence-related crimes.

In 2012, Castano, then living in Lynn, was charged with assault with a machete and butcher knife after he allegedly threatened his then 21-year-old girlfriend's life.

After possibly becoming jealous of another man putting his arm around his girlfriend during her birthday party, he reportedly pulled out a "large black sword" and threatened to kill his girlfriend. He then went and got a butcher knife and threatened her again, the Lynn Item reported in 2012.

He was also charged with domestic assault and battery in Salem in 2010.
