Police Break Up Underage Drinking Party, Charge Two Adults

Two adults will be facing charges of providing alcohol to teens at a house party on Fairview Avenue Saturday night.

Peabody police broke up an underage drinking party on Fairview Avenue Saturday night and are charging two adults with providing alcohol to minors.

According to a press log entry, police received a tip from a caller around 8:30 p.m. that he heard of a house party at 59 Fairview Ave. with 40-50 teens attending and underage drinking going on. He said the youths were all around 15-16 years old.

Officers responded to the home and reported all the youths were picked up by their parents or guardians. There was no indication given in the log entry of how many teens were present.

A 49-year-old Peabody woman who lives at that address and a 50-year-old Wakefield man were both issued court summonses on charges of selling or delivering alcohol to minors.
