Police Arrest Four for OUI Over Weekend

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the press log from Dec. 15-19.

Thursday, Dec. 15

  • 3:21 p.m. Byron L. Macario-Chacaj, 23, of 62 Johnson St. #2, Lynn, was arrested on Lynnfield Street near the , following a motor vehicle stop. He was charged with speeding, failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Friday, Dec. 16

  • 12:01 a.m. Cody M. Murphy, 24, of 22 County St., Peabody, and Michelle A. Burgess, 31, of 4 Tibbets Ave., Danvers, were both arrested on a courtesy booking for Danvers police. Peabody and Danvers officers took the pair into custody at the on Lynn Street.
  • 9:41 a .m. Kenneth L. Brown, 49, of 95 Main St. #3, Peabody, was arrested on Route 114 in Danvers after refusing to stop for Peabody police. Brown was charged with failure to stop for police and driving with a suspended license.
  • 12:38 p.m. Kacie M. Rothwell, 19, of 163 Western Ave. #2, Lynn, was arrested after failing to stop for police at the intersection of Washington and Main streets. She was charged with failure to stop for police, speeding and a crosswalk violation. Police said she did not yield for a pedestrian.
  • 2:11 p.m. Amilcar Chavez, 27, of 39 Hollingsworth St. #2, Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Lynnfield Street and First Avenue. Chavez was charged with failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • 8:52 p.m. Joclyn M. Madden, 27, of 138 Hampton Meadows, Hampton, N.H., was arrested on Route 1 near for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was also charged with a marked lanes violation.
  • 10:37 p.m. Donald M. Bowden, 54, of 69 Elmwood Ave. #2, Lynn, was arrested on Route 1 near the I-95 interchange, following a motor vehicle stop. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (third offense), obstructing traffic by stopping and loitering, failure to use care in operation and possession of an open alcohol container inside the car.

Saturday, Dec. 17

  • 1:55 a.m. James F. Dicarlo, 49, of 0 Martin Cir., Peabody, was arrested on Route 1 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
  • 1:28 p.m. Isaac J. Gaines, 24, of 7 Holten St. #3, Peabody, was arrested at his residence for domestic assault, following a report of an unwanted male at the apartment.
  • 5:03 p.m. Saul R. Pedroza, 41, of 41 Hollingsworth St #1, Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Lynn Street. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and defective equipment.

Sunday, Dec. 18

  • 1:30 a.m. Sokha Leng, 31, of 805 Ocean Ave., Portland, Maine, was arrested at . Leng was charged with domestic assault and battery, following a report of an unwanted male in one of the hotel rooms.
  • 9:32 a.m. James Suleski, 49, of 43-1/2 Bartholomew St., Peabody, was arrested at his residence for domestic assault.
  • 5:10 p.m. Rudy Lopez, 26, of 144 South St. #6, Lynn, was arrested on Pine Street, following a motor vehicle stop. Lopez was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to yield to oncoming traffic, giving a false name and address to an officer and on a warrant.
  • 7:29 p.m. David M. Perroni, 44, of 67 Langdale Rd., Hampton, N.H., was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Washington and Main streets. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation. Police had received a call of a possible intoxicated driver traveling down Lynnfield Street from Route 1 and headed toward the downtown.
