A 19-year-old from Peabody and a 23-year-old Winchester man were arrested last week in Arlington and charged with dealing ‘molly,’ or MDMA, a potent form of ecstasy.

Nico P. Marrocco, of Antrim Road, Peabody, and Brandon D. Holladay, of Winchester, were arrested shortly after 1 p.m. on Sept. 18 and charged with possession to distribute a Class B drug and conspiracy to violate the drug law.

Marrocco also had active warrants out of Cambridge District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and defacing property (two counts).

The men were arrested as the result of an undercover police operation.

‘Molly’ has been in the news recently, as it’s been connected to three deaths in Boston and New York in the past few weeks and several more overdoses. Last month, Brittany Flannigan, a 19-year-old Plymouth State student, died after reportedly overdosing on the drug during a concert at the House of Blues in Boston.
