Peabody Man Arrested After Crashing Stolen Vehicle

A passenger claimed he was kidnapped.

A Peabody man was arrested on Sunday afternoon after leading police on a two-state chase, which resulted in a crash and a claim by his passenger that he was being kidnapped, reported CBSBoston.

Police arrested Michael Daniels, 33, of Peabody, on Lewis Street in the North End after Daniels crashed a truck that was reported stolen from New Hampshire.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 27-year-old Peabody man, said Daniels kidnapped him. Police are investigating the claim.
