Peabody Fire Truck Strikes Building in Salem

A Peabody fire truck reportedly struck a building in Salem Saturday night.

A Peabody fire truck struck and damaged a building on Aborn Street in Salem Saturday night, according to the Salem Patch weekend police log

At 11:26 p.m., Salem police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a fire apparatus at 24 Aborn St.

According to the report, Peabody's Engine 1 responded to a nearby motor vehicle accident and was being operated by Anthony Zuppio when it backed into a wall.

"The wall sustained damage to the top portion...as well as a cement block. There was also minor damage to the house where it meets the wall. There was no damage to Peabody Fire Engine 1," the police report reads.
