Man Dies in Fall From Second-Story Window at Danvers Nursing Home

A 45-year-old male patient fell from a second-story window at the nursing home late Wednesday afternoon.

and responded to on Lindall Street in Danvers just before 4 p.m. this afternoon, where a man reportedly fell from a second story window.

According to the Essex County District Attorney's office, a 45-year-old patient, James Hussein of Peabody, was discovered outside the building by a visitor of the nursing home.

Initial police scanner reports indicated requested a medflight, but the call was later cancelled.

Hunt Nursing Home staff said they had checked on Hussein in his bedroom at approximately 3 p.m.

State Police investigators have ruled out foul play, but the situation remains under investigation.

The center, a 120-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, is located on the campus of the former Hunt Memorial Hospital.
