The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department.
Tuesday, April 30
At 2:37 p.m., Nordstrom's reported employee theft. Police will summons the employee in question for larceny.
At 6:17 p.m., a caller reported youths photographing walkers on a bike path near Hannaford Plaza. The youths were gone when police arrived.
At 8:48 p.m., a caller on Silverleaf Way reported that his neighbor makes noise all day long and requested that officer to speak to the neighbor. When police were there, there was no noise so police advised the man to call the next time he hears noise.
At 9:20 p.m., a caller reported seeing a small child sitting in the parking lot of Latitude Sports Club alone. Police checked the area but found no child. There was an out-of-service fire hydrant with a warning bag over it which may have been what the caller saw.
Wednesday, May 1
At 12:13 a.m., Oronilzo Oliveira, 44, of 28 Warren St., Peabody was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
At 1:15 p.m., a caller on Gardner Street reported two suspicious males who "did not belong in the area" were walking around. Police spoke to the males in question, and it turned out they did live in the neighborhood.
