Evicted Roommate Refuses to Take Cats

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from July 7-8.

Tuesday, July 9

  • 8:42 p.m. a caller reported her daughter missing on Wallist Street. Police entered the daughter in the missing person's database. 
  • 9:22 p.m. a neighborhood dispute was reported on Sunset Drive. 
  • 11:51 p.m. a caller reported complaining about a skin infection on Walnut Street. The individual was transported to Beverly Hospital. 

Wednesday, July 10

  • 3:42 a.m. a tow truck operator called the police regarding a tow request on Goodale Street. A operator had crashed his BMW into a guardrail and somebody's lawn and then fled the scene. Airbag was deployed in the vehicle. 
  • 6:01 p.m. an officer reported he stuck a light pole behind Brothers Kouzina on Newbury Street. There was no damage to the light pole. 
  • 11:34 p.m. a caller reported that her motor vehicle was vandalized sometime overnight on Crownshield Street. 
  • 12:23 p.m. a caller reported that her roommate was evicted the prior evening and refused to take her two cats with her. The evicted woman said she would be back at the end of the month to get the cats, however, the caller wanted them removed immediately.
