Dog Found and Strange Gym Request

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department.

Tuesday, May 14

At 2:50 p.m., JCPenney reported two shoplifters. Police will summons the suspects for shoplifting.

At 3:34 p.m., a caller on Glenway Avenue reported that her female cat, gray, black and tan, was missing. The cat has no collar or microchip.

At 5:06 p.m., a caller on Harris Street reported that a watch that had been delivered by UPS and left on his stairs was stolen.

At 7:49 p.m., a caller on Eisenhower Road reported that kids were playing in her yard and hiding under her porch. The kids were gone when police arrived.

Wednesday, May 15

At 8:27 a.m., Northshore Mall security reported a male wearing jeans and a blue hoodie with his pants down outside the Container Store. Police did not find the suspect.

At 11:56 a.m., a caller on Sunset Drive reported a stray dog in her yard. The dog, an older brown female lab mix wearing a red collar, was not microchipped and was taken to Borash.

At 12:34 p.m., there was a domestic dispute between two brothers on Newbury Street. Anthony Murphy, 22, of 286 Newbury St., Peabody, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The other suspect will be summonsed for domestic assault and battery.

At 1:58 p.m., police received a report that a male in black sweatpants approached a woman at Workout World and offered her money to take pictures of him. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
