Car Smashes Through Office Building Wall
The driver was not seriously hurt, according to police, although her car did smash right through the side of an office building.
A female driver crashed her car through the wall of an office building behind the Northshore Mall Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the driver only suffered minor injuries, but was taken to the hospital. No other injuries were reported. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. at 8 Essex Center Dr.
A witness to the accident told Patch he was in his office, which is directly adjacent to the crash scene, when he saw the car speed by his window. He was the first person outside and climbed through the debris to help the woman from her car.
He said her airbags had deployed, which is what may have spared her serious injury. The demolished office itself was empty, he said, because the employee who was working there just recently left the company.
