The dry conditions have whipped up a brush fire in South Peabody near Cedar Grove Avenue.

The first call for a brush fire came about 8 p.m. Sunday night for an “extensive brush fire,” according to the Peabody Firefighters Twitter page.

Fire crews worked for about three hours on the brush fire on Sunday night. Peabody Firefighters reported that the smoke was still visible from the woods off Lynn Street this morning and fire crews were back at the scene this morning.
