The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for its general scholarships given to area high school seniors who will further their education at a post secondary level. Each year the
Application packages are available through many Guidance Offices at local high schools including Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Bishop Fenwick, St John’s Prep, as well as directly from the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce website at www.peabodychamber.com.
Applicants must meet only one of the following requirements to be eligible for an award:

• Student is a Peabody resident, or
• Student is employed by a Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce member, or

• Student is the son or daughter of anyone employed by a Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce member.
The application process includes academic history, a short essay, documentation of community service followed by an interview. Funds for the annual scholarship program are generated by leaders in the business community through the annual Torigian Golf Classic. The date for this year's event is Monday, June 16th at the Meadow in Peabody.
