Chamber Seeks Nominations for Prestigious Ankeles Award
Twenty-two years ago, several members of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce came up with the idea of recognizing a leader in the business community whose community service and spirit contribute to the rich, cultural heritage of the City of Peabody. The Harry Ankeles Community Service Award was established as a memorial to chamber member and Peabody resident, Harry Ankeles, and is now presented annually to a chamber member who exemplifies the spirit of selfless dedication to the community that Mr. Ankeles exhibited throughout his lifetime. The award recognizes an individual.
The community is invited to nominate an individual for this award. Please submit a detailed description of the nominee’s volunteer activities and initiatives. Each nominee will be considered by the committee based on their involvement in a number areas including:
1) Live or work in the City of Peabody, Danvers, Middleton or Lynnfield

2) Chamber Affiliate (current member, past member, or employee of Chamber Member);
3) Active in multiple community services groups (brief description of community related activities; service programs, philanthropic programs, etc.)

4) Demonstrates leadership;
5) Volunteer based work;
6) Instilled a lasting legacy for the community
Include any additional information that the committee should consider about the nominee’s qualifications.
All nominations must be received by August 16, 2013
The recipient will be honored at the Chamber’s annual dinner and award ceremony held in November. All nominations should be made in writing and submitted to Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, 24 Main Street, Suite 28, Peabody, MA 01960, fax: 978-532-7227 or email: pcc@peabodychamber.com.
