A Sweet Little Business Opens in Peabody

At Cygnet Confections each bite is a delicious celebration!  Here you will enjoy European-inspired fine cookies and pastries that are hand made from butter, real flavors and local ingredients.

Owners, Cathyann Swindlehurst and Sarah Ducharme, feel that great food marks some of the most important moments in our lives.  Having worked out of a commercial kitchen in Lynn for several years, they made the leap into opening a retail space.  Located at Newhall Plaza on Lynnfield Street in Peabody, Cygnet Confections offers you the chance to stop in for a cup of their own gourmet coffee and cookie, take home a small cake that serves four or order up a full dessert buffet for 250.  The business also ifeatures Decoration Station, a separate area where cake and cookie decorating classes are held for youth groups, birthday parties and adult get togethers.

On weekends, the bakery serves up hand rolled, traditional croissants that require 4 days to prepare in order to achieve the quality Sarah and Cathyann want everyone to experience.

The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to be part of the grand opening celebration and help introduce members of the local business community to this new business.   Cygnet Confections shared that they felt very welcomed into the Peabody community, and commented on how easy the city made it to open a business here.  They also recently received funds from the city's Community Development Authority to purchase a dough sheeter machine, which will allow them to make their infamous croissants on site.

On Tuesday, October 29th Cygnet Confections will be hosting a Decorate a Haunted House from 10a-8p.  The gingerbread houses will be fully assembled and all decorating elements provided - just bring your creativity.  Houses start at $19.95.  Call to Book 978-306-6170 or Login to Face Book/Decoration Station
