- Today's weather: Partly sunny with a high near 54 degrees, but windy. Gusts could hit up to 28 mph.
- Ash Wednesday: Churches mark the first day of the Lenten calendar today with Ash Wednesday services. St. John the Baptist Parish says its welcomes all to a service at 3 p.m. in the lower church at which ashes will be distributed.
- Plant a seed, read and play for free: The Peabody Family Engagement Center is planning some special activities for today's weekly free playgroups. Activities for kids range in age from birth to 7-years-old.
- Moonbounce and Chick-Fil-A: Kids can stop over to the mall for a moonbounce and to meet some costumed characters at Chick-fil-A today. The event is free for Simon Kidgits Club members.
