Obituary: Sandra A. (Pasco) Spuglio, 60, Weight Watchers Leader

Sandra A. (Pasco) Spuglio, 60, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died Sunday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Spuglio with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage.

Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of Edward and Guida (Proto) Pasco of Woburn. She was raised and educated in East Boston and was a graduate of Fitton High School, Class of 1971.  After high school, she continued taking psychology classes nights at Northeastern University.

She was employed for over 20 years as a Leader and Lecturer for Weight Watchers throughout the North Shore and Boston areas. She lectured about nutrition and weight loss and control.  

She later went back to school at North Shore Community College School of Nursing and received her nursing degree in 2001 and was employed as a RN Nurse Manager at the Elliot Community Service in Lynn for over 10 years.

Sandra was an avid bowler and belonged to the Wednesday Night Couples League at Metro Bowl in Peabody. When her boys were young, she taught Sunday school to the 3rd and 4th graders at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.

Besides her loving husband, she is survive by her two sons, Christopher and Jeffrey Spuglio, both of Peabody, her brother, Edward Pasco of Brockton, her two sisters, Lea Pasco and Rachael and her husband John Granara, all of Woburn and also by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody and her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Grove St., Lynnfield, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Her burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody.
