Obituary: Kevin Wood, 53, Lifelong Peabody Resident

Kevin Wood, 53, of Peabody, died Sunday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Arthur Wood, Sr. and Patricia (Dolan) Wood. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School.

Kevin was employed as a laborer for DNR Construction in Peabody for many years before his illness. Kevin enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of all of Boston’s professional sport teams, the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics.  

Kevin is survived by his three daughters, Brandy Cruwys of Haverhill, Nichole Wood of Billerica, and Sheri Wood of Lynn, his four brothers, Arthur F. Wood, Jr., Robert, Michael, and Richard Wood, all of Peabody, his two sisters, Patricia Nims of Peabody and Maureen Aulson of Georgetown, and by his granddaughter, Giselle, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  He was the former husband of Denise (Deveau) Wood.

Following cremation, a Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
