Obituary: George D. Kyminas, 27

George D. Kyminas, 27, of Peabody, died with his family and friends by his side at Massachusetts General Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2014. In 2012, he married his high school sweetheart of 11 years, Dana M. (Buxton) Kyminas, and he was expecting their first child, a daughter, in July.

George was born in Danvers on August 18, 1986, son of Karen (Poole) Quinn and the late Danny Kyminas. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 2004. He later pursued his education in computer science at ITT Technical Institute.

George was a longtime employee of Eastern Bank and for the past year has been employed as an IT Specialist at Kaspersky Lab in Woburn. He enjoyed being with family and friends at cookouts, watching sports and playing poker.

In addition to his wife Dana of Peabody and mother Karen of New Hampshire, George is survived by his sister, Jennifer Kyminas of Lynn; his paternal grandmother, Irene Kyminas of Peabody; his maternal grandfather, Donald Poole of Florida; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Denise and Mont Buxton of Peabody; a sister-in-law, Nicole Harnois of Peabody; loving uncles, aunts, and cousins including Stephen and Tina Grasso of Hamilton and their daughter Marlena, Glenn and Maria Perry of Danvers and their children Christopher and Nicole, Brian and Maria Poole of Delaware and their children Colin and Alex, Kelly Trahey of Ohio and her children Christopher and Michael, Kevin Poole of Pennsylvania and his children Nolan and Jeromy; as well as two nieces, Angelica Vicente and Avery Harnois.

George’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a service at noon at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody.
