Obituary: Concetta "Connie" (Mazzola) Voyce, Longtime South Peabody Resident

Concetta D. “Connie” (Mazzola) Voyce, 93, longtime South Peabody resident, most recently of Danvers, wife of Donald K. Voyce , died with her family by her side on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at Emeritus at Cherry Hill Danvers.

Connie was born Boston, on July 17, 1920, the daughter of the late Calogero and Maria (Imbrescia) Mazzola. She was raised in Boston and graduated from east Boston High School Class of 1938, and in 1961, she made her home in Peabody.

Connie was employed for 20 years at Eastman Gelatine Corporation in Peabody as the Executive Secretary to two Presidents prior to her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the Ould Newbury Golf Club and the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Hockey Booster Club.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared 68 years of marriage, Connie is survived by her son and his wife, Donald C. and Nancie Voyce of HI, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Philip Mazzola, Virginia Tsunis, Lucia Bialobreski and Josephine DiGiacomo.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
