Where Can I Donate a Coat in Peabody?

Donating a coat is a great way to help a neighbor this holiday season. We'll help you find coat drives near you.

New England winters, even the mild ones, are nothing to trifle with. That's one reason coat drives are such a big part of holiday giving around here.

Patch has made it easy for you to find coat drives nearby. So take a look at your closet and see if you can't part with a few of yours. You could even buy a new one and give it away!

The Container Store -- The Northshore Mall location is collecting gently used coats and jackets during normal store hours through Dec. 31 in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem.

Burlington Coat Factory Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive -- The local store is at 300 Andover St. in Peabody. The annual coat drive, which runs from November to January, is in partnership with ABC's "Good Morning America" and One Warm Coat.

Anton's Cleaners "Coats for Kids" Drive — Drop off the coat to any location of Anton's Cleaners or any local organization participating in the drive, such as the Burke Elementary School. Also, North Shore Community Action Programs will be partnering with Anton's to distribute the coats to those in need.

Jordan's Furniture — The furniture store is partnering with Anton's on "Coats for Kids," so you can also drop off coats at any Jordan's Furniture location, including Natick, Avon and Reading.

Goodwill — Of course Goodwill takes more than coats, but your coat will always find a good home at your local Goodwill. The Peabody donation center is located in a trailer in the parking lot at Stop & Shop.

Find Another Drive — Nearly every town and city has multiple other places where you can donate a coat. One Warm Coat keeps an updated list. Just plug in your Zip Code.

Or if you know of a local drive, share the details here in the comment section below.
