Food Pantry Welcomes All to a Christmas Dinner
Dinner is served at noon on Christmas Day, and there will be presents. All are welcome.
All are welcome to stop down to the city's food pantry next week for a free Christmas dinner.
Haven from Hunger will serve up turkey, ham and all the fixings at noon on Christmas Day, plus there will be gifts to give out to the kids. The pantry will close at noon on Tuesday (Christmas Eve).
Haven Executive Director Alyse Barbash says the pantry is able to spread some holiday cheer each year due to the generosity of many businesses, community organizations and volunteers.
She also notes Whole Foods of Lynnfield just trucked over an 18-wheeler full with $16,000 worth of goods.
The pantry is located at 71 Wallis St. in Peabody and serves clients in Peabody, Salem and Lynnfield. Check www.havenfromhunger.org for more information.
