If you're looking to stay in Peabody, there's always fun with the kids at , or a trip over to the city owned and operated or also a spin on the city's bikeway -- the  stretches for 4.6 miles from behind Lahey Clinic out to the end of Russell Street at the Middleton line.

If it's local history you're after, there are the , and all the properties maintained by the .

Salem, of course, has its own attractions from the  to the  and the . And there's fun to be had in the opposite direction over in Danvers at the ,  or Monkey Joes.

And there's also Bow Ridge Reservation next door in Lynnfield, the , the Marblehead Lighthouse, or if you want to go down to the ocean there's , also in Marblehead, and and in Swampscott, or take a trip down to the and the IMAX Theater in Reading.
